LegalLens (“we”, “our”, “us”) provides legal news, regulatory intelligence, and AI-powered document tools. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and who we share it with when you use our website or Android app.

Information we collect

• Account data: email address and authentication identifiers, managed via our authentication provider, Supabase.
• Content you submit: documents, contracts, or text you upload or paste into our document-analysis tools (e.g. document scanner, form filler, contract scanner, compliance checklist, verdict predictor) for the purpose of generating an analysis or summary.
• Billing information: if you subscribe to a paid plan, payment details are collected and processed directly by Stripe. We do not store your card number.
• Usage data: anonymized analytics and performance data collected via Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights.

How we use your information

We use your information to operate and improve LegalLens: authenticating your account, running the document-analysis tools you request, processing subscription billing, sending requested digests or alerts, and understanding aggregate product usage.

Third-party processors

We share data with the following service providers strictly to deliver the features you use. We do not sell your personal information.

• Supabase — authentication, database, and file storage.
• Stripe — subscription billing and payment processing.
• AI providers (Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, and OpenAI-compatible models) — process document text and prompts you submit in order to generate legal analysis, summaries, and AI-assisted content. Submitted text is sent to these providers solely to fulfill your request.
• News data providers (including Newscatcher, NewsData.io, GNews, Bing News, and SerpAPI) — used to source published news content; these do not receive your personal data.
• Resend — delivery of transactional emails and digests you opt into.
• Vercel — application hosting, analytics, and performance monitoring.

Data retention

We retain account and content data for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide you the service. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time via our account deletion page or the contact details below.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, or export of your content, by using the account deletion / data deletion request page or contacting us at the email address below.

Children’s privacy

LegalLens is intended for legal professionals, compliance staff, and businesses. It is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
