(Courtesy of Tammy Wood) LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — A Henderson business owner is hoping surveillance footage will help police identify a woman she believes has stolen from her store twice in the past six months. Henderson police responded to Vegas Crystal Healings and More on Thursday afternoon after owner Tammy Wood reported another suspected shoplifting incident. Wood said she believes the woman caught on surveillance video Thursday is the same person who stole merchandise from her store in May. "I'm even more irritated. I'm just astonished that she would have the guts to come back again," Wood said. News 3 first spoke with Wood in May after surveillance footage captured a woman allegedly placing merchandise into her purse before leaving the store without paying. Now, Wood says she has additional footage showing what she believes is the same woman doing it again. "And I have video footage with proof and documentation that those items were put in her bag," Wood said. With cameras positioned in every aisle and corner of the store, Wood said she was able to capture the woman's movements from multiple angles. In one surveillance clip, the woman appears to place a white book into her bag. Another camera captures her putting rolls of charcoal into the same bag before looking up toward the surveillance camera. Wood said she was attending an event next door when her employees began texting her about the woman's suspicious behavior. She immediately returned to the store and said she recognized the woman from the previous incident. "The facial features and the way she was acting- she was really nervous, and while we were talking, I was scrolling through the photos on my phone to try and find from back in May," Wood said. "And before I could find those, she realized what I was onto." Wood said the woman had also attempted to purchase merchandise she was carrying in a separate bag but left before completing the transaction. "But of course she had to go to the bank, so did not end up checking out," Wood said. Surveillance footage then shows Wood following the woman outside the store to photograph the vehicle she was driving. After the woman left, Wood contacted Henderson police and showed responding officers surveillance footage from the latest incident. She also explained why she believes the woman is responsible for the theft reported in May. "And the first time, like I said, she stole enough for grand larceny," Wood said. She is still reviewing inventory to determine the value of the items allegedly stolen Thursday. According to Wood, the vehicle the woman was driving had temporary license plates, and responding officers were unable to identify its registered owner. Despite the challenges, Wood said she remains determined to identify the woman and prevent another theft. "This time I'm going to catch her, this time we're going to catch her," Wood said. It remains unclear whether police have formally identified a suspect or whether any charges will be filed in connection with either incident.
